Global history and governance
The program in “Global history and governance” consists of a course of study and research parallel to the bachelor’s and master’s degree program that builds on the comparisons, connections and processes of globalization that have characterized different areas of the planet since the first era of global imperialism and does so by focusing on the relational dimensions of historical processes, legal regimes and the organization of power; on the interdependencies among economic, political, legal, cultural and social factors; and on the circulation, exchange and interconnection of ideas, people, institutions, legal cultures, political models, concepts, rights and goods on a global scale.
The course offers training grounded in a multi and interdisciplinary approach based on history and law and open to contributions from other disciplines such as political science and economics.
